The ACCESS Health Centre, a project of AIDS Vancouver Island and the Cool Aid Society, is one of 4 projects eligible for this year's Vancity Award.

AIDS Vancouver Island and the Cool Aid Society are seeking your vote to fund the ACCESS Health Centre. This ground-breaking community health centre will support the social, environmental and economic well-being of our community. If we win the award, Vancity will also partner with us with program development.

About the ACCESS Health Centre

High rates of HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C infection, chronic housing shortages and lack of addictions and mental health resources have pushed the homeless and at-risk community to the brink. The Vancity Award will provide capital funding for the development of an existing building into the ACCESS Health Centre, a new initiative to house a wide variety of primary health care and social services in one location.

Past winners, like the Vancouver East Cultural Centre and B.E.S.T (Better Environmentally Sound Transportation), have shown that the $1-million Vancity Award is a gift that really changes things. But only with your vote.

Voting begins on September 5th and ends on Friday
October 13, 2006 at 5pm.

All members, including primary and joint, with a share balance of at least $5 and not more than 90 days delinquent in any obligation to Vancity can make one vote if they have full member status or have requested member status prior to October 13,
2006. Junior members (under 19 years of age), unincorporated organizations, associations and societies are not eligible to vote.

What’s your account number?
You may vote using either your branch and account numbers or your MemberCard number and Card Issue number. Your branch and account numbers appear on your member statement. Your MemberCard number is a 16-digit number that appears on the front of your card and the Card Issue number is the 2-digit number that appears above your name.
